Project Timeline
SAR purchased the Capital One building on Riverdale Ave in 2021. The project is expected to break ground in the summer of 2023. We anticipate the entire project will take two years — by the fall of 2024 the Middle School expansion should be finished. This will be followed by the addition of 50,000+ square feet to our High School building which has a projected completion date of year-end 2025.
Expanding Our High School Campus
In total, our plans for a new building will add approximately 60,000 square feet to SAR High School- the new building will be home to new classrooms, two new Batei Midrash (Ashkenazi and Sephardic), new athletic facilities, a Day Care Center, and importantly, more parking. We will also transform existing spaces to enable and facilitate the growth of the Arts and Design engineering.
The new building will be located on Riverdale Ave at the site of the old Capital One Bank that was purchased by SAR in 2021. The building will extend to the rear and be contiguous and adjacent to the existing HS building

An Expanded Middle School
Our plan for SAR Academy is to add a new floor to the middle school by building up! As space expands within the Academy building, usage will shift to give more space for learning, developing relationships, and engaging students in new and existing curriculum. The new floor will provide approximately 10,000 square feet of space. .
